15th February 2010 - Well done to our Senior Section hockey team who came third in the Manchester Battalion UNIHOC finals held in Didsbury.

27th January 2010 - Congratulations once again to our Senior Section Quiz team. For the third year running we have beaten all comers from around Manchester to win the Battalion Quiz Trophy. Around 100 Lads from BB Companies took part at the event at Hope High School in Salford. The photo shows Phil, Andy, Jack and Ryan receiving the cup from Chris Carney of the 53rd Manchester Company.

2nd October 2009 - Congratulations to our Company President – Graham Harper, who was married last Friday to Jennifer O’Dwyer. It was a lovely day apart from the weather and Mr and Mrs Harper enjoyed themselves. Graham even wore his kilt for the occasion! We wish them every happiness for the future.

28th January 2009 - Well done to the Comnpany & Senior Section Quiz team who for the second year running have won the Manchester Boys' Brigade Quiz night. Well done to Phil, Andy, Ryan and James. The picture below shows them receiving the cup from 'Quizmaster' Jim Smith.

January 2009 - Well done to Andrew Williams and Jack Harrison in the Senior Section who completed their Queens’ Badge Leadership course over the weekend. Also well done to Ryan Farlam and Jamie Morrison who have completed their Presidents’ Badges that will be presented at Open Night. We now have six Boys working towards their Queens’ Badge – the highest award in the Boys’ Brigade!

July 11-13th 2008 – Chapel Lads go to 125th Birthday camp.
Two Boys from 1st Chapel Company attended the BB 125th Birthday Camp at the YMCA Lakeside Centre in the Lake District. Lance Corporals Jamie Morrison and Ryan Farlam joined over 150 Boys who attended the camp from all round the Manchester Area. Activities over the weekend included Canoeing, Kayaking, Sailing, Half day project, Low ropes course, Climbing, Abseiling and Zip-wire. The weekend was a great success with everyone making new friends and enjoying themselves.
